Making the beauty of the world visible in the name of art – this is the mantra of the German artist Dieter Nuhr. With „Elsewhere is Everywhere“, the internationally acclaimed artist presents a new dimension of his art at the Palazzo Medici Riccardi from April 30th to June 1st. Supported by the Brost Foundation, one of Germany’s most significant art and cultural foundations, and organized by the Association for Art in Public, the exhibition features about 40 photo-based paintings and drawings.  At the heart of the exhibition is the beauty of our world, placed in a dynamic dialogue with motifs from Nuhr’s home region, the Ruhr area. Once dominated by coal and ore mining, this industrial region in western Germany is now a symbol of sustainable development, renaturation, and cultural transformation. This exhibition is held in collaboration with UNESCO.

This exhibition is part of a prestigious four-year project encompassing over 120 artworks and spanning multiple international venues. Supported by the Brost Foundation and organized by the Association for Art in Public, the exhibition evolves in form with each iteration. It has previously been showcased at the Artforum in Vienna and the Bavarian National Museum in Munich in 2024.
