During the Intercultural Week 2020, the Oberhavel Regional Museum in Oranienburg Castle presented the exhibition #PeaceBell by Michael Patrick Kelly. The centrepiece was the peacebell cast from war scrap, with which the artist symbolically reversed the historical meltingdown of church bells during the world wars. Accompanying photos, videos and textsdocumented the creation, casting process and use of the bell at concerts, complemented byKelly’s own peace graphics. The exhibition made a strong case for tolerance, dialogue and an active rejection of radicalism.
