In collaboration with the YOU Foundation – Education for Children in Need and the Association for Art in Public, the MAXXI Museum – National Museum for 21. Century Art in Rome presents Rita Sabo’s multifaceted works inspired by the theme of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the agenda-2030.
From 4 July to 4 August 2024, the Roman museum will host the Austrian artist’s solo exhibition entitled ‘Sacred Planet’, which features 12 paintings, some of them large-scale, and 19 sculptures showing the various Sustainable Development Goals that will be displayed in the Maxxi’s Corner Space, with the aim of raising awareness of the urgent implementation of the agenda-2030.
The remarkable body of works by the young artist was already exhibited in 2023 in the well-known Ludwig Museum in Koblenz, in the historic Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana in St. Mark’s Square in Venice and, more recently, at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris; being now in Rome “on stage” for the first time marks another highlight in her career.
