#PeaceBell is a peace initiative by musician Michael Patrick Kelly, which began in 2017 with a bell cast from war metal. Since then, the project has grown from an artistic gesture into a social programme that combines exhibitions, concert rituals and educational activities. Each #PeaceBell stands as a resounding symbol against radicalism and reminds us that peace is more than just a ceasefire.

Miniature editions of the bell, made from original war material, carry the message further; their proceeds support the Israeli-Palestinian peace village Neve Shalom / Wahat al Salam or Art Helps, among others.

In this way, #PeaceBell creates international meeting places, promotes tolerance – and invites people from all walks of life to build bridges of understanding together.

The project has been sponsored by the German Postcode Lottery since 2018.
